Capped Excess
Some Professional Indemnity policies will place a limit on how many times the policy excess can apply to claims during the year. It is quite connolly applied to solicitors professional indemnity policies, for example, your excess is £10,000 per claim, capped at 3 times during the year (£30,000). It is therefore better to have a capped excess as this limits your exposure during the year.
